Anne Patterson has been a mathematics educator for more
than twenty years, with eleven years of experience teaching
middle school mathematics, pre-algebra, algebra, and geometry,
and twelve years as adjunct mathematics instructor in Stetson
University's summer programs for middle and high school
students. For the past seven years Anne has served as a
resource specialist, conducting hands-on workshops and on-site
support for mathematics teachers in grades 5 through 10.

Model, recently published in the National Council of
Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) publication Mathematics
Teaching in the Middle School and co-authored the article
Mathline: A New Approach to Staff Development in the
Florida Technology in Education Quarterly. Anne has
presented at state conferences sponsored by the Florida
Council of Teachers of Mathematics and regional conferences
sponsored by NCTM.
Anne truly involves teachers in mathematical learning
experiences proven to help students internalize and apply both
algebraic and geometric concepts. Her workshops meet the needs
of a diverse group of educators and their students and focus
on practical management ideas, technology, group solutions,
and manipulative-based connections. Her relaxed delivery
style, varied menu of activities, and natural love of
mathematics will keep you entertained and engaged as you learn
new strategies and activities that you can adapt to any
group of students.
