Frederick
Lundeen is a superb math teacher who has over thirty years of
experience. In 1997, he was rewarded for his expertise by
receiving the "Teacher Of The Year" award at South
Fork High School in Martin County. At Glades Central High
School, Fred worked with the low performing students on their
math and test taking skills. Because of the
students' great success, he was named, "Most Outstanding
Teacher."
Earlier in
his teaching career, he sponsored the first high school math
competition in the state of Florida and was also instrumental
in organizing the Mu Alpha Theta organization in the state.
During the past seven years he has been actively involved in
academic competitions including the Commissioner's Competition
for Excellence.
Fred
imparts his knowledge and experience to other classroom
teachers. In his
position as math supervisor for the Martin County School
District, he has the opportunity to conduct workshops
throughout the state that aide the classroom teachers and
their students.
For the
past fourteen years, Fred has been working to improve SAT
scores for many students throughout the state of Florida. As a
result, the
average student improvement on the SAT math test has been in
excess of 130 points. This tremendous success
has led Fred to be recognized as the top SAT prep instructor
in south Florida. Because of his totally
unique approach to improving SAT math scores and incorporating
the strategies into daily classroom lessons, teachers leave
his workshops excited to return and convey these approaches
back to their students.
