Janelle
Chisholm is an enthusiastic math teacher and experienced
presenter. She
has effectively taught middle level and high school students
in the areas of English, language arts, humanities and
mathematics and knows how to capitalize on the energy level of
students and engage them in learning.
Janelle
has presented workshops at the national ASCD conference and
regularly presents staff development workshops on various
topics in mathematics and the use of technology. She serves as a
technology mentor at her school site, training colleagues on
software, providing support, and troubleshooting
problems.
For the
past five years, Janelle has served as the Math Implementation
Team member representing her school at the district
level. In this
role, she serves as the assessment coordinator, works with
colleagues to write curriculum and align it with district,
state and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
standards and provides strategies to improve
achievement.
Janelle
was recently selected to participate in the Intel
Corporation's "Teach to the Future" program. She is receiving more
than 40 hours of specialized training and creating lessons
that integrate technology into the classroom. As part of this elite
group, she will help bring our students into the
21st century with greater skills to
succeed.
Janelle will

presented. Each
of the ideas presented have been used in Janelle's
classes. She has
seen them work, and you will, too. She is eager to share
her ideas with you and is confident you will enjoy your two
