Larry Burke is currently a classroom teacher with over
twenty years of classroom experience in both middle school and
high school. He is a three-time recipient of the Disney
Teacheriffic Award for his innovative teaching ideas.
As a nationally recognized speaker, Larry has conducted
seminars and workshops throughout the United States and
Canada. His presentations at the National Council of Teachers
of Mathematics (NCTM), Southern Region Education Board
Conference (SREB), and numerous state conferences have been
extremely well received by teachers.
Larry has authored fourteen lab
activity books which include The Way to Students' Minds
is Through Their Stomachs, one volume each of
Pre-Algebra Labs, and Geometry Labs, and nine
volumes of Algebra Labs. Larry's most recent work has
been ten volumes of Labs, Puzzles, Games and Other
Activities to Make Math More Interesting and Fun and four
volumes of puzzles that cross the curriculum from math to
history to English.
